Admissions
Our laboratory is seeking prospective graduate students (Master's and Ph.D.) to work
together with from diverse fields, not just from undergraduates in the
field of Precision Engineering but also from other fields. International
students are welcome. The research interests focus on "Design Theory for Sustainability" in a broad sense. In order to solve real-world problems for sustainability,
we use a variety of methods and tools, such as scenario design (including
scenario planning), life cycle simulation/assessment, statistical analysis,
machine learning, system dynamics, etc.
Expected competencies include logical thinking, presentation skill, and
academic writing. Through research activities at our laboratory, there
are many opportunities to learn a wide range of expertise in sustainability
science, environmental science, statistics, public policy, management science,
etc. Students are strongly recommended to participate in field research,
international conferences, and workshops.
We encourage you to visit our laboratory at any time. For any questions
about our laboratory, please do not hesitate to contact Dr. Yusuke Kishita
(kishita@pe.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp).
